It time for the baseball series Yankees fans have been looking forward to ever since the Red Sox took the season record to 8-0 back in June 11 with a 4-3 loss for CC Sabathia. But things have changed since then for the Bombers, with the Yankees atop the AL East and the Red Sox struggling to score runs. They were pushed to extra innings against the Rays, nipping at the Red Sox Wild Card heels. There is a lot riding on the four-game series at Yankee Stadium, and Red Sox Yankees tickets are huge right about now. The Yankees have to think they have a better chance to finally beat the Red Sox this season as they came back to the New Yankee Stadium. These should be some very good games and tickets have been going fast for weeks now. If you thinking about going to a Red Sox Yankees game you should check out whats available. You can still find plenty of Red Sox Yankees tickets if you look in the right spot. I’ve checked StubHub and Ebay, but the best Sox Yanks tickets are at Ticket Liquidator. Last I looked they had a ton of tickets at some very reasonable prices. So take a look and see whats available because this series should be huge.
The first game of the Red Sox Yankees Series see’s BoSox newcomer John Smoltz (2-4) take on Joba Chamberlain (7-2) in a matchup of old vs new. Baseball fans know that Smoltz was once one of the biggest names in the game but unfortunately for Red Sox fans he has been a disappointment this season. His game against the Yankees will be a big one toward determining how far the Sox will stick with him. And of course in his short time with the Yankees Joba has certainly no endeared himself to Red Sox Nation. What with his habit of throwing at Youk’s head as regularly as shows up opposing batter, he definitely will have the Red Sox bats coming at him. He is on a strict pitch count and the Red Sox will be doing their best to get him out of there ASAP. Not every one is crazy about Joba Rules, and here is McCarver on Joba Rules.
The second game of the season sees the third matchup of 2003 Florida Marlins teammates Josh Beckett (13-4) and AJ Burnett (10-5) on the team that bested the Yanks in the 2003 World Series. The Red Sox have won both these games so far, and while Burnett’s previous dominance of the Red Sox was part of his allure for the Yankees, he has not been stellar so far this season. Beckett has been one of the best pitchers in MLB in the past few weeks, and this game will go a long ways toward deciding how this series plays out. This might be the most intriguing matchup of the series and what with the game falling on a Friday its going to be a hot Yankees Red Sox tickets for fans to get their hands on. You definitely do not want to miss this game so definitely see how its going looking.
Saturday’s Red Sox Yankee matchup will see Clay Buchholz (1-1) go against CC Sabathia (11-7) in a game that on paper should be an easy win for the Yankees. CC is the ace and outweighs Buchholz by about 300 pounds, so if he does not eat him it could be a tough day for the Red Sox. Buchholz has been pretty terrible so far and while CC has not been fantastic he has been more than serviceable. Of course the Red Sox bats will do their best to get him off the mound ASAP. With a 4:10pm start time this one will be over before you head out to the bar so check out whats going on with Red Sox Yankees tickets and see if you can get out to the game
And the final game of the Yanks Sox series is happening on ESPN Sunday Nigh Baseball starting at 8:00pm. This game will be a left-handed battle between Jon Lester (9-7) and Andy Pettitte (9-6) in a game that could have some big post-season implications. This game might decide who wins the series, and if the Red Sox keep up their Yankee Winning streak could prove to be the one that yields the AL’s top position. Be there for the action and get your Yankees vs Red Sox tickets for that game so that you can see all the action in person.
And once this Yankees Red Sox series is over, they face off again at Fenway on August 21-23. As the MLB postseason gets closer that series will get really big so make sure that you get out to those. The final regular-season series between the Yankees and Red Sox takes place on the last weekend of the season once again at the New Yankee Stadium.
